Improve your confidence.
If you, or a loved one, are considering otoplasty in Indianapolis or Carmel, Dr. Janet Turkle can help. It is common for those with protruding, large, or misshapen ears to feel this detracts from their appearance. This may lead to teasing in young children which results in a lack of self-confidence. Older patients that have dealt with this for their entire lives may also reach a point when they decide to undergo corrective surgery. Cosmetic surgery of the ear, or otoplasty, can improve the position and shape of the ears. It is most commonly performed for large and protruding ears which is a condition known as prominauris but is also occasionally done to correct malformations that may have occurred due to an injury.
Otoplasty is a relatively quick outpatient surgery that leads to more optimal balance and proportion of the ears and face
