What determines Mommy Makeover Costs? | Indiana Plastic Surgeons

When it comes to cosmetic surgery, sometimes getting a combination of procedures is the best way to achieve your aesthetic goals. While it comes with many wonderful things, pregnancy is the kind of life event that has unavoidable impacts on the body. For many women after pregnancy, a mommy makeover is a way for them to reclaim their body and feel more like themselves.

Mommy makeover costs are influenced by a number of factors and truly vary from patient to patient depending on the type and number of procedures included.

3 factors that influence Mommy Makeover Costs

1. Number and type of procedures

A mommy makeover includes any procedure that helps a woman renew her body and breasts after pregnancy. Popular procedures included are usually: liposuction or tummy tuck, a breast lift, breast reduction, or breast augmentation.  Some patients also include a Brazilian butt lift or labiaplasty as well.

Of course, the more procedures you include in your mommy makeover, the cost and downtime can possibly increase.

2. Surgery-related costs

There are certain expenses involved with your surgical procedures that can contribute to the cost. These include your surgeon’s fee, facility fee and anesthesia. Other costs might include any necessary pre operative work, such as mammograms or lab work.

Turkle MD & Associates perform all the surgical procedures at highly accredited surgical facilities. This is an important part of ensuring your safety and comfort for your procedure. You don’t want to cut costs by having your procedure performed at a non-accredited practice or a surgeon who isn’t certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

3. Financing options

Mommy makeover costs don’t have to be prohibitive. In many cases, there are financing options available that can help cover the cost of your cosmetic surgery. By pursuing payment plans or loan options, you can break up your costs into more manageable amounts over time. While this won’t decrease your cost, it can make it easier to factor into your lifestyle and budget.

What Treatments Go Into a Mommy Makeover?

Let’s take a look at some of the procedures that can be incorporated into your mommy makeover. The costs provided here and elsewhere on our site are meant to serve as estimates until the exact costs can be determined at your consultation.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a procedure where a special cannula is used to suction out tunnels of fat from between your skin and muscles. These tunnels will then collapse on their own as you recover from treatment, revealing slimmer contours in the treatment areas.

When factoring liposuction into your mommy makeover costs, expect the expenses to range from $3,300 to $7,400. This includes the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, facility fee, and your follow-up appointments.

After liposuction, you’ll most likely be required to wear special compression garments for a prescribed amount of time. Garment fees range from $85 to $250.

Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a surgical procedure for removing excess fat, tightening loose skin, and strengthening muscles. This makes it especially effective for reducing and eliminating the postpartum pooch caused by diastasis recti, a weakening and separation of the abdominal rectus muscles.

If you want to factor in a tummy tuck into your mommy makeover costs, the price of an abdominoplasty typically ranges from $6,995 to $8,400. This estimate includes the surgeon’s fee, facility fee, anesthesia, and necessary follow-up appointments. You’ll also have a garment fee of $85.

Breast Lift

Many of our patients also choose to have a breast lift (mastopexy) to address sagging breasts caused by pregnancy and breastfeeding. To perform a breast lift, your plastic surgeon will remove excess skin and tighten the surrounding skin. Some patients also choose to get breast implants during the same procedure.

How does a breast lift affect your mommy makeover costs? On its own, a breast lift at Turkle & Associates usually ranges from $6,395 to $10,200, including anesthesia, surgeon’s fees, facility fees, and follow-up appointments.

Breast Reduction

Patients get breast reductions for a variety of reasons, but a common one is that some women’s breasts don’t return to their pre-pregnancy size. This can leave you with enlarged breasts that cause mental and physical distress.

A breast reduction can help restore your breasts.

When budgeting for your overall mommy makeover cost, a breast reduction surgery, performed on its own, will usually range from $6,395 to $6,775.

Breast Augmentation

In addition to breast sagging and breast enlargement, pregnancy and nursing can also cause your breasts to appear uneven or asymmetrical. If this is the case, your skilled plastic surgeon at Turkle & Associates can help restore balance to your breasts using silicone gel, saline, soft-touch, or cohesive gel implants.

If adding a breast augmentation procedure to your mommy makeover cost, expect the price to range from $5,125 to $6,925, including anesthesia, type of implant, surgeon’s and facility fees, and follow-up visits.

Brazilian Butt Lift

Getting a mommy makeover can be a great opportunity to increase the size of your buttocks by transferring fat from elsewhere on your body in a procedure called a Brazilian butt lift.

This surgical fat transfer, when performed separately, can add $9,600 to $13,400 to the total mommy makeover cost. As with the other procedures, this estimate includes facility fees, surgeon’s fees, anesthesia, and follow-up appointments.

Labiaplasty

Last but certainly not least on the list is labiaplasty. Childbirth can do a number on many areas of the body, including the most intimate. A labiaplasty can address a variety of post-pregnancy vulva-related concerns, such as enlarged, extended, or uneven labia. It can also address a hooded clitorus as well as pain and discomfort.

Typically speaking, a labiaplasty performed separately from other procedures will add between $2,900 to $4,208 to your total mommy makeover cost.
